1- In January 2022, interviews were conducted with Ms. Rawia Muzal, Director of the Department of Forestry and Desertification, and the heads of the Forestry, Environment, Planning, and GIS Departments regarding theoretical and practical training for department staff and forest site managers. This comes after completing a series of lectures, teaching materials, measurements, and forest inventory forms, as well as preparing long-term management plans for each site, prepared by Muwaffaq Saleh Mubaraka under a personal contract with the department between Feb 14, 2021, and Jan 31, 2022. The association is waiting for an appointment to be scheduled for this purpose as soon as possible.
2- In April and May 2022, two television interviews were conducted with Al-Iraqiya News Channel regarding river water pollution as well as the necessity of tree planting to mitigate environmental problems.
3- In May 2022, the association was represented by Mr. Muhannad Kazim, alongside other Iraqi environmental organizations, in a meeting with the NGO Directorate regarding the need to establish effective tree planting plans in Iraq.
4- The association contributed 50 saplings, generously provided by Al-Salsabil Nursery, for the greening of Al-Mahmoudiya Hospital Street in cooperation with local youth organizations, supervised by Mr. Muhannad Abja as the association's representative.
5- Accepting the World Bank's invitation to attend the seminar: Youth and Civil Society Roundtable on Climate Change and the Future of Iraq, Monday, May 30
at the Babylon Hotel – Baghdad, where the association was introduced to attendees and several participants established connections with the association.
